Leadership Development

Leadership development is important at Cornerstone Classical School. Our desire is for our students to demonstrate servant leadership skills on campus, in their homes, in their churches, and in their surrounding communities. Students are given many opportunities to grow as leaders through all of our grade levels. However, we are intentional in leadership development with our logic and rhetoric students through these specific opportunities:

Intern Program

Our rhetoric students have the opportunity to serve as interns in our Cornerstone community. They serve in official roles benefiting the program. These interns might teach younger classes (under teacher supervision), serve as an assistant headmaster, assist with graphic design, and many other opportunities.

Junior Intern Program

Our Logic  students are able to apply for our Junior Intern program. These students serve in many assistant roles: teacher assistant, leading parts of our chapel time, assisting with arrival and dismissal, etc.

Mentor Program

Our logic and rhetoric students may serve as mentors to our younger grammar students during the school year. Once a month they meet with their assigned grammar student on campus and enjoy planned activities together.

Student Leadership Retreat

Each spring, our rhetoric and logic students attend our Student Leadership Retreat, where they learn essential skills that will help them grow into the godly and virtuous leaders we desire them to become.
